In adiacenza con la struttura del Seminario Minore, nel verde della primissima collina torinese, a due passi dal centro, sotto una serie di superfetazioni accumulatesi negli anni, si nasconde un edificio settecentesco, riconosciuto come antica cappella gentilizia del conte Gazzelli da Rossana.
Nel 2009, il direttore della Pastorale Giovanile diocesana, vedendo nel complesso grandissime potenzialità per le attività dei ragazzi, lancia la proposta di trasformare il vecchio rudere in vero e proprio punto di riferimento per la Pastorale Giovanile, affidando l'intervento ad architetti under 30.
Oltre ad un profondo rimaneggiamento distributivo e all'integrazione degli spazi dell'edificio storico con i volumi degli edifici adiacenti, l'intervento si concentra sull'eliminazione della grande tettoia che copriva la facciata ovest, rendendo invisibile dall'esterno la scansione di lesene e archi che caratterizzano le facciate laterali.
In sezione, l'intervento cancella il volume parassita per riportare in luce l'antico profilo a capanna dell'edificio storico.
Sull'impronta a terra della vecchia tettoia si realizza un volume parallelepipedo che regala al nuovo Centro una vasta terrazza e ripropone in facciata la geometria dell'arco rivisitato attraverso un rivestimento in acciaio corten. Il carattere monolitico del nuovo volume metallico, affiancato all'edificio storico, ne fa risaltare senza ambiguità i caratteri propri, recuperandoli.
Tutte le facciate storiche sono infatti oggetto di un attento risanamento conservativo e di un recupero estetico concordato con la Soprintendenza.
Da un punto di vista funzionale, il progetto prevede 58m2 di uffici al piano primo e due saloni flessibili al piano terra per totali 118m2, in diretta comunicazione con il giardino a est e l'area verde polifunzionale a ovest.
L'intervento sulla cappella gentilizia concluso tra il 2011 e il 2014 completa opere di risistemazione dell'area avviate nel 2010. Oltre ai saloni e agli uffici della Pastorale Giovanile, ad oggi il centro può usufruire di un anfiteatro verde “a impatto zero”, aree per il campeggio, e servizi per l'accoglienza di gruppi di giovani (bagni, cucine, zona relax).

Next to the Seminario Minore building, on one of Turin’s green hill, within a short walk distance from the city center, hidden under a series of superfluous buildings developed over the years we find an XVIII century building, known as the ancient chapel of Count Gazzelli da Rossana.
In 2009, the director of the Diocesan Youth Ministry, saw the complex as a great potential for the youth activities, he proposed to redevelop the old deteriorated building into a new point of reference for the Youth Ministry, commissioning the project to architects under 30.
The project comprehends an important redistribution and integration of the spaces with the adjacent buildings, mainly focusing on the demolition of a large roof that covered the west façade that drastically hid the interesting composition of arches and pillars that characterize the lateral façades.
The intervention removes the parasite volume to highlight the ancient profile of the historic building.
On the footprint of the old shed stands a new rectangular volume that offers a wide terrace and dialogues with the existing façades through the same arc geometry giving to it an interesting twist due to the steel coating material. The monolithic character of the new metal volume, alongside the historic building, brings out unambiguously the restored characteristics.
All historical aesthetic facades are in fact the subject of a careful preservation and restoration study approved by the town council.
From a functional point of view, the project includes 58m2 of offices on the first floor and two mixed‐use halls on the ground floor for a total of 118m2, with direct access to the east garden and the west multipurpose green area.
The noble chapel complete work concluded between 2011 and 2014, and the whole area reorganization initiated in 2010. In addition to the halls and offices of the Youth Ministry building, the complex also offers a green amphitheater and camping areas and other amenities for the Youth Ministry gatherings (bathrooms, kitchens, relaxation area).
