Il museo è situato nella Chiesa inferiore del Duomo in un ambiente che all’impostazione rinascimentale dell’edificio alterna la visibilità dei resti delle preesistenti basiliche paleocristiane. L’allestimento privilegia quindi l’osservazione del “contenitore” e la lettura delle sue fasi storiche inserendo in esso un percorso di visita che si snoda secondo aree tematiche in cui vengono esposte opere d’arte sacra che dagli albori della Diocesi torinese si spingono fino alla contemporaneità in un dialogo costante tra l’architettura, la storia e la religione.

The museum is located in the lower church of the Cathedral in a Renaissance building where the remains of pre-existing early Christian basilicas are visible. The outfitting focuses on the observation of the building and the reading of its historical periods by means of a guided tour. Visitors are therefore driven across thematic areas showing sacred art works - from the dawn of the Diocese to contemporary times, in a constant dialogue between architecture, history and religion.
