The International Travelling Exhibition “MoMoWo | 100 Works in 100 Years | European Women in Architecture and Design | 1918–2018” approaches women’s creativity in the fields of design and architecture in the past 100 years. The interactive digital exhibition brings together a selection of 100 works displayed on the screen including the most significant and representative examples of European architecture and design created by 100 women from the end of the First World War to the present day. The number of works is symbolic, as “one hundred” could also mean “countless” as in the Latin word centum.

Visitors may view the works by filtering them by country, author or date. The most important stops in history which had a vital impact on the position of women in society are represented in a timeline “Chronomomowo”. The exhibition places a particular focus on the achievements of Slovene women in culture, society and politics.

Besides this impressive collection, the exhibition also allows an interactive visit of “Women. Architecture & Design Itineraries across Europe”, eighteen cultural-tourist itineraries established by the MoMoWo’s international team in order to promote 125 works of women architects and designers in four European cities and two countries.

The exhibition is accompanied by a comprehensive exhibition catalogue and architectural guide book. The International Travelling Exhibition has taken place in four European towns already: Oviedo (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), Grenoble (France) and Eindhoven (the Netherlands), and after Ljubljana (Slovenia) it moves to Turin (Italy).
