Theoretikerinnen des Städtebaus: Texte und Projekte für die Stadt

This publication is designed – on the basis of women’s texts of various genres and provenances – to document the contribution made by women to urban-planning discourse, i.e. their share in the production of urban space. The goal of this study, which will open up new thematic and methodological horizons for urban-planning research, is to discuss a potential ‘other’ theory of urban planning. (...) This investigation of an urban-planning discourse by women, which has yet to be described even today – one which corresponds to the emergence and evolution of urban planning – is intended to fill the historiographical gap in the history and theory of urban design.
