In pieno centro storico, questo intervento consiste nel restauro di un edificio esistente e nella nuova costruzione di un secondo edificio su un area ancora invasa dai resti di una costruzione bombardata nel corso dell’ultima guerra. I due palazzi di altezza diversa, pur essendo indipendenti si legano per continuità stilistica oltre che per la funzione di residenza universitaria, il tutto secondo una scelta operata dai progettisti di grande attenzione per il contesto storico in cui sono stati richiamati a intervenire. Gli inserimenti di materiali della modernità avvengono in maniera discreta quasi nascondendosi, come nel caso del ponte pedonale in metallo che funge da unico allacciamento tra le due realtà residenziali.

Right in the city center, this intervention consists of the restoration of a building and the construction of a new one, the area still hosts the ruins of the last war bombing. Although the two buildings are independent – and different in terms of height, have a stylistic continuity thanks to the designers attention to put them in the context. Modern materials are carefully inserted as if they hid the connecting metal pedestrian bridge. Both are university residences.
